LEBANON, TN — July 1, 2025 — Tressler & Associates, PLLC is proud to welcome Susan Burks as the newest attorney on our legal team. With a passion for service and a well-rounded background in law and business, Susan brings warmth, intelligence, and dedication to her new role.
Originally from Dyersburg, Tennessee, Susan relocated to Brentwood in 1992 and graduated from Brentwood High School in 1997. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing from the University of Tennessee–Knoxville in 2001. Following graduation, Susan spent time traveling abroad in Australia and later worked in her family business before setting her sights on a career in law.
After earning her paralegal certificate from the Southeastern Paralegal Institute, Susan worked full-time as a paralegal while attending night classes at Nashville School of Law, where she graduated in 2008. She practiced law until 2010, when she took time to focus on raising her three daughters and serving her community through volunteer work.
Now returning to the legal field, Susan’s practice will focus on real estate, estate planning, adoptions, and business law. Her deep understanding of client needs and her dedication to both family and community make her a natural fit for the mission and culture of Tressler & Associates.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Susan is active in a number of organizations, including Westminster Presbyterian Church, the Old Glory Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), and the Executive Board of the Harpeth Hall Parents Association, where she currently serves as President-Elect. She’s also a proud Kappa Delta alumna, and a devoted supporter of Habitat for Humanity and other local outreach initiatives.
When she’s not practicing law, Susan enjoys health and wellness, cooking, gardening, painting, traveling, and soaking up family time at the lake.
